U.S. study showed that mothers who breast-feed their children naturally for a period of six consecutive months less risk of developing high blood pressure later.
The researchers who prepared the study, said the findings - published in the Journal ofEpidemiology American - increasing evidence to suggest that breastfeeding may havebenefits for mothers as well as children, but did not prove that breastfeeding is the direct cause for the enjoyment of maternal blood pressure healthy.
For its part, said senior researcher at the University of North Carolina Allison Stuibi that "women who did not breastfeed their infants at all increase their risk of high blood pressure, compared to women who breastfeed their first child naturally for a period of sixmonths or more."
And recent results are consistent with previous studies confirmed that women who breast-feed their infants have a decreased risk of diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease inlater life.
It is believed that breastfeeding helps protect children from common diseases such as diarrhea and inflammation of the middle ear.
In general, experts recommend that children should breastfeed normally during the first sixmonths, then continued breastfeeding alongside solid food until the age of years.
