Dozens dead Central American floods

Caused flooding and landslides caused by tropical storm hit countries in Central America in the deaths of at least 45 people.
Officials said yesterday that Guatemala was most affected by the storm that hit the region on Wednesday morning. And 22 people were killed in Guatemala, where flooding and mudslides to the isolation of villages, displacing thousands of people.
In Honduras, floods caused the deaths of nine people, two of whom died electrocuted by a lightning storm. And also isolated areas in Honduras from each other by water, and sheltering hundreds surfaces homes for fear of drowning.
In Salvador, the tropical storm caused the deaths of seven people, and pushed the country's President Mauricio Funes declared a state of emergency.
And in Nicaragua, authorities said the floods and mudslides killed seven people, and they evacuated thousands of residents. In Costa Rica, displaced hundreds of residents of communities the Pacific coast, and also from the capital San Jose.
Four people were killed last week in Mexico due to hurricane "cavity" from the Pacific Ocean. Yesterday and continued heavy rain over parts of Honduras and Guatemala, but the severity eased in Nicaragua and El Salvador and Costa Rica.
