Officials announced that the Pakistani security forces said four suspected militants were killed Thursday in a raid by U.S. drone aircraft in the tribal areas in northwestern Pakistan.
The raid targeted the town of Dundee Darboukal seven kilometers to the north of Miranshah, the largest city in Waziristan on the border with Afghanistan, a stronghold of the Haqqani network, which starts from the areas in Pakistan to attack U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
A security official who preferred not to be named, told the French press that "the U.S. plane fired two missiles, killing four gunmen in a raid." The Pakistani intelligence source in the raid, as well as the death toll of four.
