America's threat to halt aid to Egypt

Warned a U.S. senator senior government led by the military in Egypt on Friday that the "days of blank checks is over", at a time to meet a delegation from the Egyptian army with officials of the U.S. State Department to discuss the future military aid to Egypt, which is estimated at $ 1.3 billion annually.
Launched a Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy, Chairman of the Subcommittee in charge of the Senate Foreign aid a scathing attack on Egypt's Campaign to local groups and funded by the United States pro-democracy, and warned that Congress could halt aid in the future if no changes.
Leahy said in his statement, "We want to send a clear message to the Egyptian army that the days of blank checks is over, we appreciate the relationship and we will provide a great deal of aid, but not without conditions."
Leahy joined a growing number of U.S. House of Representatives from both political parties have expressed outrage at the crackdown on NGOs, which saw the Americans in the prevention of employees of these organizations to leave Egypt.
He warned more than 40 deputies in the U.S. joint letters published Friday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, head of the Supreme Council of Egyptian armed forces of the U.S. aid to Egypt in a dangerous situation.
