Syrian activists said on Monday it had found the bodies of at least 62 people near thebesieged city of Homs, but they differed over the figures of the dead.
Some activists said they were members of families from the neighborhood of Baba Amrwere kidnapped while trying to escape from the neighborhood who are being exposedto the bombardment in more than three weeks.
The activist said the Pope called Amr Abu Bakr that the families were leaving the neighborhood and was intercepted by a checkpoint Sunday night and kidnapped 62 people. He said he found their bodies in an area loyal to President Bashar al-Assad on Monday morning.
But other activists said they were from the minority Alawite Assad belongs.
