Sentenced to three years in a young Moroccan man for insulting king

News agency said the Arab Maghreb official said on Tuesday that a Moroccan young man was sentenced to three years in prison for insulting King Mohammed in a video posted on the Internet.
In the recording posted on YouTube shows Alheidor Abdul Samad (24 years), a direct Spaba to the King while he was speaking to a group of people in the street and it seemed that he was aware he was being filmed.
He said human rights activists to register images last month during riots in the city of Taza in protest against the high electricity prices and unemployment.
The report said the Moroccan "Court of First Instance in Taza Alheidor convicted on charges of insulting sacred doctrines and ruled in his imprisonment in force for three years with the performance of a fine of 10,000 dirhams."
The Moroccan Association for Human Rights - the most prominent human rights organizations in Morocco - that the police used excessive force in responding to the riots in Taza.
The court also sentenced to 17 others to prison terms of up to 10 months for their involvement in the unrest, the second of its kind in Taza this year.
And gave the king - who controls his family in Morocco since the seventeenth century - some of his powers after pro-democracy protests last year but still controls the security and foreign policy.
