Police didn't let the women go wild
A group of activists from the confrontational Ukrainian women's movement FEMEN have been seen protesting for freedom in the country in a typically outrageous fashion.
Four topless but fearless women gathered in front of the government building in Kiev and started tearing up the lawn.
The women, dressed only in orange skirts with national scarves around their heads, were apparently protesting against recent events in Ukraine, including the arrest of former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko and the lack of freedom in the country.
The display didn’t last long, however, as police moved in within a few seconds. One of the activists was seen being dragged away by police.
The spectacle coincided with another more traditional rally in central Kiev, marking the 20th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence from the Soviet Union. Those attending the rally also called for Tymoshenko to be freed.
