Mexican officials said on Saturday that the authorities launched an investigation after the discovery of a mass grave in southern Mexico, containing the remains of 167 peoplemay have been buried there 50 years ago at least.
The official said in Chiapas State Prosecutor's Office said the remains found in a cavenear the border with Guatemala "break-in to touch it."
The official added on condition of anonymity, said investigators are trying to determine the victims' ages, sex and cause of death.
The case developed for the degradation of the bodies to be buried there since at least 50 years, adding that there are no clear signs of violence.
