Romanian government bowed to pressure from popular protests which brought the Romanian Prime Minister Emil Bock doctor enjoys wide popularity to his chief of emergency health services in the country.

Arafat came back to his position with the government's decision to withdraw the draft of a controversial law designed to reform the health care system and the "reconsideration" to reduce government support for the emergency health services.
Although the daily protests did not attract large numbers of demonstrators, it made headlines after it turned into violence in Bucharest on Sunday.
Gathered several hundred protesters again on Tuesday in the Romanian capital, and seven other cities in the worst protests taking place in Bucharest in decades. Police estimates indicate that 13 thousand people demonstrated in various parts of the country on Monday.
Romania was approved in 2009 a significant reduction in expenditures for health care in the context of a series of austerity measures necessary for a rescue package worth 20 billion euros (25 billion dollars) from the International Monetary Fund and the European Union.
The austerity measures also include reducing employment and lower wages in the public sector, as well as raise the value-added tax from 19 to 24%.
