Negotiations between the U.S. and North Korea

Announced that the U.S. State Department said on Wednesday that a delegation of U.S. officials will meet a delegation from North Korea in Geneva next week to discuss its nuclear program is a matter of dispute.
The State Department spokesman Mark Toner that the delegation will meet with his North Korean delegation, headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan, in Geneva on Monday or Tuesday.
He Toner meeting, "a continuation of the exploratory meetings to determine whether North Korea is ready to meet their obligations under the 2005 joint statement of the six-party talks and the international nuclear obligations, and to take concrete steps towards nuclear disarmament."
Toner and announced the resignation of U.S. envoy to North Korea Stephen Bosworth from office, to succeed current U.S. ambassador to the International Energy Agency (IAEA) Glen Davis.
The aim of the six-party talks - involving the two Koreas, China, Japan, Russia and the United States - to persuade Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear program in exchange for a big help.
And stopped these negotiations since December / December 2008. And Pyongyang withdrew officially in April / April 2009, a month after conducting a second nuclear test after the first test in 2006.
