12 people were killed, including four soldiers and wounding several others in the new battles erupted Thursday between the army and fighters accused of being al Qaeda on the outskirts of Zanzibar, the capital of the southern province of Abyan. In Sanaa called tribal leader Hamid al-Ahmar to the trial in favor of and opposed any move to grant immunity under the agreement to hand over power, sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Red said in a statement that the government's proposal to grant immunity in favor of "a disregard for the blood of the people of Yemen", in reference to hundreds of people who were killed during the protests.
